The Audrey Dean Award is a silver thimble plus SWQ gift voucher chosen by popular vote at our Spring Meeting each year for a first quilt made in the past two years.
Every year at Westpoint in Exeter we exhibit our quilts and part of that is a section called the Chair’s Challenge. The theme is chosen by the current Chair each year and a rosette and SWQ gift voucher is awarded to the winner who is chosen by the public visiting the show.
At each of our main meetings a challenge is set and the winner receives a rosette and SWQ gift voucher.
This show is held at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern each year in May and South West Quilters award a silver salver to the winner of the Best Traditional Patchwork section.
